Schedule
Full-time position with a 36-hour workweek
4 hours of dedicated administrative time each week
Approximately 1–1.5 days per week in the operating room, working alongside our hand surgeons
Remaining time spent in the clinic, providing independent patient care
Clinical Responsibilities
Independently evaluate and manage patients with conditions involving the hand, elbow, and shoulder
Work closely with our hand surgeons and assist in surgery approximately 1–1.5 days per week
Provide continuity of care throughout the patient’s treatment and recovery
No routine inpatient rounding responsibilities
Call Requirements & Additional Compensation
This position includes practice call only, consisting of phone coverage for established patients. There is no required in-person Emergency Department call, and a stipend is provided for practice call coverage.
For APCs interested in additional opportunities, ER call is available on an optional basis and includes an additional stipend. ER call is not required for this position.
Requirements
• Current PA or NP licensure in good standing, eligible to practice in California
• Prior orthopedic experience is desired
• General clinical experience is required
• Comfortable working independently in a clinic setting and as part of a surgical team
